Places to Visit Devon

Axminster
Axminster is a small market town on the eastern border of Devon, England. The town is built on a hill overlooking the River Axe which heads towards the English Channel at Axmouth and is in the East Devon local government district. The market is still held every Thursday.
Axmouth East Devon
From the Iron Age to the middle Ages, Axmouth Harbour was the most important harbour in the West of England.
The natural harbour of the River Axe estuary was at that time a much wider and deeper inlet, the mouth of the Axe being nearly half a mile wide and was one of the most important trading harbours in the South West
Budleigh Salterton
Budleigh Salterton is a very pretty little coastal town situated on the East Devon coast.
The town is part of the Jurassic Coast and has about 2.5 miles of pebble beach
Beer
Beer is a typical example of a beautiful, unspoilt Devon fishing village. Once a smugglers haven, set in one of the most sheltered positions on the Devon coast, Beer retains a strong seafaring tradition, with skills and business handed down from family to family to the present day. Beer's sheer cliff coastline shaped this tradition and has become something of a distinguishing feature of this small town.
Dawlish
Dawlish is a fascinating Regency resort town nestled attractively between steep surrounding hills. The railway sweeps along the entire seafront and beach. Character cottages, impressive villas, narrow streets, bustling shops, famous Black Swans and welcoming tea rooms is just a taste of what Dawlish has to offer.
Dartmoor
Dartmoor is not just about the landscape; there's a lot more to it than that. It's not just about the ponies, or the tors, the history or the heritage; but that's a good start. It's about getting out there, experiencing new things. This living, breathing, working landscape holds the secret to a past that stretches back over the centuries,
Exeter
Exeter is located in the Southwest of England. It is situated on the River Exe in the county of Devonshire.
Full of character and ancient history, Exeter is still able to offer all the amenities and comforts that would be expected of a modern day city
Exmouth
The East Devon Coast from Exmouth to Dorset has been officially ranked alongside the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon as one of the natural wonders of the world. The coast provides a walk through time of 185 million years of the earth's history and stretches from Orcombe Point at Exmouth in Devon to Dorset.
Seaton
Seaton is a traditional Devon seaside town in the midst of an area of outstanding natural beauty midway between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.
Sidmouth
Beautiful gardens and leisurely walks, regency history and fine hotels, clean beaches and friendly shops.... it's all here in this lovely seaside town that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley.
